Ingredients
- 2 cups whole milk (or oat milk)
- 1 cup water
- 2 tsp loose black tea leaves
- 1-inch fresh ginger, grated
- 3 green cardamom pods, crushed
- 1 small cinnamon stick
- 2 cloves
- 4–6 drops Zindagi Stevia Drops
Method
- Boil spices: Combine water, ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, and cloves in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and simmer for 3 minutes to release the flavours.
- Add tea: Add the black tea leaves and simmer for another 2 minutes until deeply coloured.
- Add milk: Pour in the milk and bring back to a gentle simmer. Do not boil vigorously — stir occasionally for 2–3 minutes.
- Sweeten: Remove from heat. Add 4–6 drops of Zindagi Stevia Drops. Stir well and taste — adjust sweetness as desired.
- Strain & serve: Strain into cups through a fine sieve. Serve immediately while hot.
Tip
For iced masala chai, let it cool completely and pour over ice. Reduce stevia to 3–4 drops as the cold intensifies sweetness.
